Nightmares Breath revisited.

There has been some discussion about Nightmares breath and the previous preview should be ignored. I have completely changed the card to be more in line with the power level of the other nightmare set items.

Simply put, a deck was made that abused the item, a lot. It consistently had over 30 fire elementals in play by turn 3.

Also, in retrospect, whether or not the item was broken, it was far too powerful for it's level. Consider the other summoning items put 1 character into play per turn and have other limitations.

Anyway, here is the new version, which is more in line with what the other nightmare set items are like. I apologize to those who were looking forward to using it. I'm not perfect.

For those curious: The original nightmares breath said: Order: Destroy all nightmare set items in play: Summon X fire elementals into play in your front rank, where X is the number of items destroyed.
While reviewing, I decided that probably wasn't all that good so I changed it to a spend order and got rid of the item destruction. That turned out to be over powered.

I thought about it a lot and decided that the wizard item should not move away from what the other nightmare set items do (They are all anti-summon abilities) and thus, nightmares breath has a completely new ability.

Some personal movement for wizards. Might help with equipping the bigger items.

 A box of phantoms.

 Some damage output for wizards, but at a rather steep cost. Still, if a 3 wound chainlightning can win the game, might want to take to the hit.

 Someone was asking for some item protection. Sir Orban will keep the thieves away, but he doesn't work for just anyone.

 And here is a helm. It doesn't grant a HP but it might be worth using anyway =)

Downloads

Just FYI, we are double checking all the cards in the downloads, so those may not be the final ones. So if you are planning on printing any, please wait until they are finished so that everyone has the same wordings.
The finished ones are what will go in the ToL card spoiler as well.

Downloads

Some of you will probably be unhappy about this, but I warned you. I deleted everything in the downloads section and replaced it with updated cards. These are the correct size (well, the width is right. They are about 3/16" short though.)

There is also a PDF. If you want to print the PDF out, After you click print there is a "Page Size and Handling" area that should be modified.
Under Size: Change it to Actual.

Under Multiple: Change Pages per sheet to 3 by 3.

That should work. It worked for me at least =)


Also, if you have a moment, go through PDF's and see if you can spot any typo's and what not.

Also, Also, Actions have been added.

card submissions

I know some of you would like to submit cards for future sets. (some people already have).
I made a link over on the side bar. If you submit ideas please put [Warlord Submission] in the subject. I have a filter for it, otherwise it is likely to be lost later on.

I make no promises to use your ideas, or give you credit. A lot of times, a card submission will spark another idea, or only parts of it will be used, or I will merge two ideas. So just, know that and accept it before you send me anything ^_^

You might have noticed a lack of posts lately.
I will not be posting every day anymore.

I am working on getting the latest set finished. I have been a bit busy with other things though. However, it WILL be finished by the end of the month, so don't worry about that.

Hiya

So, I resized all the character cards and will be replacing the download section soon. Which means everyone who downloaded them will have to redo so, sorry!  However, once everything is finished, Vhati is going to update the ToL spoiler so you only need the cards for printing =)

The reason I have not replaced everything yet is because I need to go back over everything and check for mistakes. For example: Picella should be Once per game.  Picella has a bear friend companion, she is not a bear breeder o.O A level 2 character that can perpetually generate characters for no cost other than spending was not intended ^^;;

 

I don't think I've shown much of what wizards do on the summoning side. So here is something for your necromantic horde needs.
